UK’s Times Online had an article outlining the environmental cost of doing a Google Search.

“Performing two Google searches from a desktop computer can generate about the same amount of carbon dioxide as boiling a kettle for a cup of tea, according to new research.”

I guess it is time to search less..  At least it brings to light the true cost of Intenet based services we take for granted as being ‘free’.

Google has already blasted backthat the number is way too high.
