Get your piece of the stimulus bill! Energystar.gov has a good summary of the
Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency.

* Tax credits are available at 30% of the cost, up to $1,500, in 2009 & 2010 (for existing homes only) for:
o Windows and Doors
o Insulation
o Roofs (Metal and Asphalt)
o HVAC
o Water Heaters (non-solar)
o Biomass Stoves

* Tax credits are available at 30% of the cost, with no upper limit through 2016 (for existing homes & new construction) for:
o Geothermal Heat Pumps
o Solar Panels
o Solar Water Heaters
o Small Wind Energy Systems
o Fuel Cells

Be sure to get your share if you are upgrading.  Prices on many items are more flexible than ever and so are contractor’s prices.
