A lot of residential and commercial buildings have their coils, ducts, and etc. cleaned routinely in order to protect the investment they have in their heating/cooling systems and to save on energy consumption and cost.The actual data that the referenced article was derived from is http://www.epa.gov/iaq/pubs/airduct.html and they do mention that there are circumstances where duct cleaning might be beneficial from a health standpoint, as you related above.</description>
