But you started the article with talking about replacing concrete with pavers. So the stuff you already have is just as bad. You&#039;re not changing that. And it&#039;s not like there are very many other alternatives for hardscapes. So until they design a hardscape material made out of recycled seaweed, permeable pavers are about the most eco-friendly material you can use.</description>
