Windshield Crack – Quickly Repairing a Car’s Windshield
Posted by easy eco blog

Having a crack on your windshield is a reality for most car owners. Rock Chips happen all over the place. We can attest to that! A car window replacement is expensive and may cause your insurance rates to go up. Broken windshields cannot be recycled to to all their special coatings and hardware, and are tossed in the trash.
The most important thing you can do is to have any little crack fixed right away before it expands. The majority of windshield repair shops can repair quarter-sized rock chips and cracks up to three inches long. Some repair places can fix even larger cracks. Most insurance will cover this repair. All the pressure from inside the cabin looks for the easiest way to go out, causing tiny cracks to expand quickly. If you do find that you have a new windshield crack, quickly find a place to repair it. Slamming the door will increase the chances of the crack spreading as will parking the car under the hot sun. Leaving your windows open may slow the spread of the crack.
