Shoe Repair – Eco Friendly and Green

Shoe repair is back in vogue. The economic downturn has pushed people to spend less and become more green and eco friendly.  Shoe repair shops are getting more business.  People are paying to fix their old shoes instead of buying new ones. This is much more green as you are saving on all the rubber, leather, etc used in making new products. Plus you will be saving money!

“At Tony’s, Pirinjian is so busy greeting customers he barely has time to fix shoes. Most days he brings armfuls of pumps, sandals and boots back to his San Rafael home to keep up with the workload…

Some customers said they bring their worn-out shoes to Tony’s for environmental reasons.”

Wet and snowy environments

If you live in a wet or snowy area, you know what it’s like when your feet get wet and you feel miserable. Wearing hiking boots around all day looks kind of funky. Have you considered overshoes aka galoshes? These are essentially rubber protectors for your shoes. What better way to prevent water damage to your nice shoes?
