The holiday season is off to its official start.  I started to think about eco friendly green holiday gifts and did a Google search and found an endless array of green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly items. Amazon has a big selection of Green Gifts or eco-friendly gifts.

EPA states that household waste rises 25% during the holidays.  Recycle gift wrap and give items not filled with packaging, especially toys. Amazon has a section of items with better packaging.

Re UseRe Gift

The process of using resources to make a green gift is not eco friendly in the first place, so a far better gift is either making one from material you already have or making a donation in someone’s name. Charity Navigator is a good place to start when looking for charities.

Remember, Re-gifting is a very eco friendly gift!

    Haha, re-gifting, that’s a great idea indeed.
I could never buy a gift again this way, just pass my Birthday gift to another friend during Christmas, what a great plan.

This way no matter how hard they try, you will always end up with a gift you like, or you’ll just give it to someone else.

I wonder if there’s a website about re-gifting or trading gifts that you got for Christmas for example, would be a great idea!

I agree too. I haven’t thought about it, it sounds fun and sweet. The gift you receive last year can be used as a gift to the other person. It’s like passing it hand by hand. Oh well, if you don’t mind, this would be a great start. If you don’t have any stuff that’s long lasting and reusable, this is a good chance for you because there are sites that offers affordable prices. With this you’ll never had a problem giving it as your Christmas present to any of your love ones. Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!

there are lots of great handmade items for sale on sites such as etsy. Just about any gift you can dream of can be found there. For example I make jewelry and belt buckles from reclaimed skateboard decks.
